I see a ghost in all white.
He walks in a circle around a room of peculiar ones. He individually encounters each one of them.
To one- he spins her around in a glorious twirl!
To another- he throws her HIGH into the air & catches her right back into his arms.
One of them is invited into a s l o w dance with the ghost. For he is pleased with her pace of movement.
The ghost continued to walk around the room- spinning, dancing, laughing, shouting & crying
— but, there was one left.
One little girl sits patiently in the corner, unsure if the ghost would even get near her.
She loves the friendship & relationship others had with the ghost…but couldn’t seem to simply figure out why she wasn’t “there yet.”
An encounter with the ghost was all she ever dreamed of- but she always thought it would come when she was more mature & could understand it all.
In all of her thoughts- she catches the eye of the ghost. The way he looked at her was not what she expected. For he somehow seemed satisfied.
He ever so gently approached her.
The little girl’s eyes widened as she watched the ghost get down on one knee.
With tears in his eyes, he asked her if she would hold his hand and walk with him for the rest of their lives.
If he could have the honor of being near her in every moment of life.
He asked her if he had permission to get to know every side of her- quirky things & all.
The little girl fell on the ground, completely overwhelmed at the goodness of the ghost.
Though she was not able to respond to the ghost, the tears said enough.
From this day on the ghost never left her side.
Throughout all of their days they walked hand-in-hand. They were forever known as the little girl & the ghost.
