Femininity

Oh how beautiful it is to be a female 

What an honor it is to be trusted with this facet of God 

All that I am & will soon be, is already in me 

For the Great Artist called me good-

In fact he said,
“really good” 

How wonderfully glorious it is that I will get to physically carry within in me the legacy of absolute love

How grateful I am to learn the ebb and flows of life with daring intentionality

What to behold, what to ingest, how to breathe, how to celebrate 

For what is there created that at its core does not exude the holiness of God

What an honor it is to host presence and families 

To shift atmospheres and to set them

To create a safe table and to host it well

So that what steps out of the home is simply the abundant overflow of what is so effortlessly stewarded

May my femininity be brave in the face of those who have found it to be weak 

It is only the insecure who find themselves in competition with something they were never created to be

Our minds, bodies, & spirits were designed to live in a symbiotic union that demands the need for another 

For the fearless heart believes that in them there is no lack 

All that I am & will soon be, is already in me
