what if?

What if the bravest ones are the ones most wildly open?

The ones who live leaned back, with arms wide open- content to not have the mess cleaned up before showing up in authenticity

They are not bound to the fear of man, for their steadiness of heart has been found in the reality that God is completely satisfied with them

For too long we have worn a badge of pride, celebrating the closed off heart

Arms crossed, hiding every emotion & story in the shadowed veils of “remaining a mystery”

But what if the brave ones are the ones who choose vulnerability?

Fully surrendered to be aware of One Thing

No longer harnessed to their own opinions, ideas, and theologies: for their every thought has been yielded in symbiosis to the King

Completely obsessed and utterly conquered in the way He thinks about things

Their emotions can be trusted, for their mind, body & spirit has been submitted to the fullness of Christ

You can let your guard down- for Christ alone is your defender

You don’t have to guard your image, for He is your advocate

You can surrender your own shield- for He alone holds your heart.
